1   Uma variante do CONDITIONAL TYPE 1 - aqui designada por TYPE 1b - é empregue para exprimir uma condição muito provável no presente ou no futuro.

IF	+	PRESENT 'BE' PRESENT 'THERE+BE' PRESENT SIMPLE PRESENT CONTINUOUS PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS	+	IMPERATIVE
Exemplos:
• If you are hungry, have a sandwich.
• Se estiveres com fome, come um sanduíche.
• If there is a problem, call me.
• Se houver algum problema, chama-me.
• If you see her, say hello for me.
• Se a vires, manda-lhe os meus cumprimentos.
• If it is raining, take an umbrella.
• Se estiver a chover, leva o chapéu de chuva.
• If he has done the homework, buy him an ice cream.
• Se ele tiver feito os trabalhos de casa, compra-lhe um gelado.
• If you have been studying for hours, take a rest.
• Se tens andado a estudar durante horas, descansa.
